Wine
Tasting with the Winemaker
Why does
wine and cheese go so well together? They are both fermented, sure,
but the affinity goes well beyond that. Sit down with Winemaker
Melanie Neucall and Rivendell owner Robert Ransom and learn to taste
the Rivendell way! Over the course of an hour and a half, we'll
taste at least 6 wines and pair each with a cheese from one of our
outstanding local cheesemakers. Goat cheese with sauvignon blanc,
merlot with grass-fed raw cow's milk cheese - we'll taste some great
wines, discover some great combinations, and have some fun. And
your tasting glass will be yours to take home. CLICK

June
is Rosé Month!
Nothing
beats a cool, crisp Rosé on a warm afternoon. The current
state-of-the-art in pink wines in New York is a return to the traditional
drier styles of rosé. less popular now are the sweet "white
zinfandel" clones and in are the drier, Provence~style true
rosés most often made from classic vinifera varieties like
Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc, Merlot. We have assembled a dozen
of these beauties for sale and tasting alongside our own delicious
Interlude Blush and our Dry Rose of Cabernet Franc.
